CPS addresses diversity and inclusivity at all-college meeting

Diversity and inclusivity were the hot topics at the UW-Stevens Point College of Professional Studies all-college meeting on Thursday, Aug. 30. Dean Marty Loy addressed the faculty and staff on the state of the college before they attended breakout sessions led by colleagues. Photo Gallery

Director of Nontraditional Student Services Ron Strege presented on the topic of “Perceptions and Misperceptions of Inclusivity;” Jeana L. Magyar-Moe, associate professor of psychology, talked about “The Challenges of Talking (and Teaching) About Diversity;” and Maysee Yang Herr, assistant professor of education, and a student panel explored “Self-identity in the classroom: Addressing Inclusivity and Student Self-Identity in our Courses.”

The college also gathered for its annual photo by the Pointer Dog sculpture.
