ROTC cadets from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point took part in a German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (GAFPB) competition at Marquette University on April 5-7, 2013, and came home with eight medals. [Photo Gallery]

GAFPB is a decoration of the Bundeswehr, the armed forces of the Federal Republic of Germany. In the United States, the GAFPB badge is just one of the hundreds of foreign awards that are authorized to wear on the uniform. The events cadets must undertake include: 3k run, 100-meter sprint, running long jump or high jump, shot put or standing long jump, 9-mm pistol qualification, 10-question medical test, and road march.
