Lisa Ebert, a human and community resources graduate candidate at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, participated in the Wisconsin/Nicaragua Partners Learning Center Trek February 17–26, 2013.  The W/NP Learning Center Trek brings Wisconsin volunteers to Nicaragua to teach classes in various skills such as sewing, crafts, carpentry, electricity and cooking.

The volunteers traveled to three workshop locations in Nicaragua: Herlinda Lopez Learning Center, Managua, Gotita de Amor Preschool, Estelí and the Wisconsin/Nicaragua Partners office in Managua.

The director of the Wisconsin/Nicaragua Partners non-profit organization is Amy Wiza, a graduate of the UWSP human and community resources master’s program.
