A group of 26 fall interns from the UW-Stevens Point School of Business and Economics presented about their experiences during the SBE Internship Expo in the Dreyfus University Center Laird Room on Dec. 8, 2021. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event is an effort from the Anderson Classroom to Career Center<\/a> and made possible thanks in part to a $1 million gift from Keith \u201985 and Tammy Anderson<\/a>. Keith joined the event via Zoom<\/a> from Virginia to provide inspiration to all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interns shared about what their duties were, what they learned, how courses prepared them and more. Placement of internships ranged from small family-owned accounting firms to insurance corporate headquarters; some worked remotely while others attended in-person. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SBE students are required to complete an internship<\/a> before graduation\u2013many complete more than one. These experiences create opportunities for growth and the development of new skills, and over 65% of our interns are getting job offers are a result of their internships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
