MacArthur stood: duty, honor, country. The award promotes and sustains effective junior officer leadership in the Army. This year, 13 active duty, seven Army National Guard, and seven Army Reserve officers selected through a board process for this honor. Awardees are presented with a 15-pound bronze bust of General Douglas MacArthur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The award&#8217;s namesake, General MacArthur, led the United Nations forces during the Korean War after commanding troops in the Southwest Pacific during World War II.
