Through training UW-Stevens Point graduate student volunteers to provide hundreds of free hearing screenings and follow-up recommendations, Rachel is making a lasting impact on athletes&#8217; communication ability, quality of life, social interactions and health. Without these screenings, most athletes\u2019 hearing problems are previously undetected, un-served or under-treated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For her efforts, Rachel was presented the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwsp.edu\/cps\/college-of-professional-studies\/giving\/heroes-awards\/\">2024 Ethel and Ward Cable Family Faculty Heroes Award<\/a> in the College of Professional Studies.
