My name is Kate. I am a transfer student, majoring in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uwsp.edu\/comd\">communicative disorders<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I grew up in Plymouth, Wis., with my parents, and I&#8217;m the youngest of three kids. I am 21-years-old and I have two years of college under my belt. I majored in mathematics &#8211; secondary education for two years, and after working as an after-school tutor for the past year, I decided education wasn&#8217;t where my interests lay.<\/p>\n<p>Like my brother and sister before me, we have changed our majors and also our colleges. It only seemed right starting with a new major here at UWSP.<\/p>\n<p>I volunteered to blog about my life at UWSP because I thought the perspective of a transfer student could help those who, like me, are starting out fresh in a new place.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t know how many people will read this blog, but to those of you who are, welcome, and I hope you can get a few laughs from my experiences!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi!
