A popular children’s song took a bit of a twist at “Let’s Learn Spanish” at UW-Stevens Point on Saturday, March 2. [Photo Gallery<\/a>]<\/p>\n

After reviewing numbers and colors lessons from the first two weeks of the class, instructor Shayna Thomas, a Spanish education and elementary education major at UWSP, taught young children the song “Head, shoulders, knees and toes,” but in Spanish, “Cabeza, hombros, rodillas, y pies.” <\/span><\/p>\n

“Let’s Learn Spanish” aims to achieve a high level of enthusiasm for the Spanish language in children ages 4-7. The children gain a basic understanding and enthusiasm for the Spanish language. Thomas uses visual and audio aids as well as movement-based activities to teach children basic words and phrases in Spanish while having fun.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

\u201cLet\u2019s Learn Spanish\u201d is a five-week program, held on the Saturdays of February 16 through March 16, from 10\u201310:45 a.m. The class cost is $20 per student.
