There had been plenty of ups and downs, but when I look back at that time today, I realize that I am so thankful that my life turned out the way it did. I recently re-found this poem that I had written at that time, and it brings a smile to my face to see where my life is today compared to then. So if you are struggling and worried about finals as they are approaching (in high school or in college), don&#8217;t forget to sit back and take time to just enjoy the ride.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;The Ride&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Life is a roller coaster,<br \/>\nso buckle up tight.<br \/>\nIts ups and downs will throw you,<br \/>\nso be ready to put up a fight.<\/p>\n<p>There are shrieks of joy<br \/>\nand screams of fear.<br \/>\nThere are times of smiles<br \/>\nand times of tears.<\/p>\n<p>But through the ups and downs,<br \/>\nthere is One who&#8217;s always there.<br \/>\nHis love is unconditional,<br \/>\nso trust Him if you dare.<\/p>\n<p>God will see you through.<br \/>\nHe will never leave your side.<br \/>\nPut your confidence in Him.<br \/>\nSit back and enjoy the ride.<\/p>\n<p>-Brittany<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.uwsp.edu\/cps\/category\/students\/brittany\/\">Brittany Melby<\/a> is a senior\u00a0at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point majoring in business administration and interior architecture.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sitting in class one day, I was thinking about how crazy my life had become lately.
