This award is given to an academic staff member (Category A or C) for contributions made in any of the following areas: mental, social, physical, emotional, intellectual, vocational, spiritual\/philosophical and\/or environmental well-being.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Eva Donohoo makes an impact in the community through work in several local organizations. As president of the <a href=\"http:\/\/unitedwaypoco.org\/Ignite\" target=\"_blank\">Ignite Leadership Network<\/a>, she helps provide connections and resources for young professionals in the area. She worked with the Rotary Club of Stevens Point to create video and informational materials that bring attention to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?feature=player_embedded&amp;v=xVUH7HRGsAU\" target=\"_blank\">Post-Polio Syndrome<\/a>. She also serves on the organizing committee for the <a href=\"http:\/\/pointincommon.org\" target=\"_blank\">Point in Common<\/a> community educational lecture series. She holds a degree from UW-Stevens Point.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div title=\"Page 6\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><strong><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.uwsp.edu\/cps\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/05\/universityawards201405kathe.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright\" alt=\"universityawards201405kathe\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.uwsp.edu\/cps\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/05\/universityawards201405kathe.jpg\" width=\"194\" height=\"292\" \/><\/a><\/strong>Excellence in Teaching Award <\/strong><br \/>\nKathleen Miller Stumpf Julin<br \/>\nProfessor, Interior Architecture<\/p>\n<p><em>This award recognizes the importance of distinguished teaching and the contributions of outstanding teachers emphasizing the commitment of the university to teaching excellence. Award winners have stimulated students toward an active interest in learning and scholarship.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Members of the interior design student organization say Kathleen Julin goes above and beyond to serve and positively influence her students, whether their needs are academic or personal. She brings real-life examples, new technology and a passion<\/p>\n<p>for teaching to her fun and interactive classes. An enthusiastic mentor and leader on European study tours, she is a national authority on the use of graphic notebooks as study tools while traveling, encouraging students to sketch, journal and share their discoveries. Kathe holds degrees from UW-Oshkosh, the Pratt Institute and UW-Milwaukee.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div title=\"Page 8\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.uwsp.edu\/cps\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/05\/universityawards201405nancy.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-4677 alignright\" alt=\"universityawards201405nancy\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.uwsp.edu\/cps\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/05\/universityawards201405nancy.jpg\" width=\"194\" height=\"292\" \/><\/a> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Outstanding Work Performance Award <\/strong><br \/>\nNancy Habermann<br \/>\nAcademic Department Associate, School of Health Care Professions<\/p>\n<p><em>This award recognizes performance far beyond what is normally expected of an employee. It includes taking on additional responsibilities or increased workload, accepting and completing special projects not part of the employee\u2019s normal work duties, developing or modifying procedures or exhibiting behavior enhancing the employee\u2019s workplace.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Nancy Habermann has assisted with the Clinical Laboratory Science accreditation, coordinated efforts to familiarize new faculty to campus, assisted with electronic media for teaching and meetings with off-campus faculty, developed an electronic filing system for students and organized the advising of more than 500 students. She is a true taskmaster and go-to person for her unit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div title=\"Page 9\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.uwsp.edu\/cps\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/05\/universityawards201405tou.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright\" alt=\"universityawards201405tou\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.uwsp.edu\/cps\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/05\/universityawards201405tou.jpg\" width=\"194\" height=\"292\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/strong><strong>Outstanding Work Performance Award <\/strong><br \/>\nTou Her<br \/>\nAcademic Custodian, Facility Services<\/p>\n<p><em>This award recognizes performance far beyond what is normally expected of an employee. It includes taking on additional responsibilities or increased workload, accepting and completing special projects not part of the employee\u2019s normal work duties, developing or modifying procedures or exhibiting behavior enhancing the employee\u2019s workplace.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Described as cheerful and friendly, Tou Her takes great pride and ownership of the CPS building. He ensures floors are vacuumed, garbage cans emptied, offices cleaned and sidewalks shoveled and salted before most even start their workday.
