{"id":5205,"date":"2014-10-13T14:06:29","date_gmt":"2014-10-13T19:06:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.uwsp.edu\/cps\/?p=5205"},"modified":"2014-10-13T14:06:29","modified_gmt":"2014-10-13T19:06:29","slug":"introducing-the-2014-15-cps-senators","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.uwsp.edu\/cps\/2014\/10\/13\/introducing-the-2014-15-cps-senators\/","title":{"rendered":"Introducing the 2014-15 CPS Senators"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hey, CPS!<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.uwsp.edu\/sga\/Pages\/default.aspx\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-5224 alignright\" alt=\"sgabiglogo\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.uwsp.edu\/cps\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/10\/sgabiglogo.jpg\" width=\"281\" height=\"146\" \/><\/a>I\u2019m just checking in to do what I like to do at least yearly, which is to introduce the students, staff, faculty and supporters of our college to their student representatives through the <a href=\"http:\/\/stuorgs.uwsp.edu\/sga\/Pages\/Default.aspx\">Student Government Association<\/a>. Especially in the case of College of Professional Studies students, I\u2019d really like to help build an awareness of our student representation at UW-Stevens Point. What\u2019s more, I\u2019d like everyone to know our faces and names and to know that as we are elected by the students for the students, any of us would be more than happy to speak to you. An important part of our job is to solicit feedback from students. I\u2019m this year\u2019s Speaker of the Senate for SGA.<br \/>\nI\u2019m a double major in English and family &amp; consumer sciences.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.uwsp.edu\/cps\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/02\/amy-vida.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-4271\" alt=\"amy-vida\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.uwsp.edu\/cps\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/02\/amy-vida.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"266\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>These are the students who have been elected to represent the CPS for this school year. I\u2019ll keep you updated if there are any additions\u2014being that we have ten remaining open seats in Senate, there is potential for the CPS representation to increase beyond what it is now.<\/p>\n<p>But at any rate, here we are. And we are here for you. Whether you see us around the CPS or elsewhere on campus, or whether you seek us out in SGA\u2019s office across from SIEO in the DUC, we would love to hear from you any time.
