After the Volumes of Hanoi, I tried a stereographic projection ball. I checked on it after about 90 minutes to find it making another mess. Wish I had checked it sooner. I don’t know if the base moved or what caused the problem. When I tried it again some weeks later, I scaled the design to make it a bigger version of the ball and added in lots of supports. This time it worked!
When I saw the failed stereographic projection ball, I felt a little like embracing failures like this one. When something goes wrong on a 3D printer, the chaotic mess you sometimes get makes such a statement! I am glad the successes by far outnumber the failures.
