Hey Dawgs! As we continue through the semester, it is essential to find spaces where you can focus on studying and completing all your work. Here are some awesome examples of study spaces around campus!

Outside:

Our campus is filled with beautiful landscaping and outdoor places to sit! Try to utilize all the picnic tables and yard spaces before it’s too cold to be outside. My favorite spot to sit outside is in front of Old Main. The area is filled with large trees and a few tables that are perfect to sit at and enjoy the rest of our good weather.

The DUC:

The DUC has three floors, and all are great options for studying. On the first floor, you can enjoy a drink from ‘Homegrown’ and sit in one of the multiple study areas. If you move to the second floor, you can find the DUC food court, complete with all kinds of places to get snacks while you hit the books. Along with snacks, the second floor has so many different places to sit, including more outdoor seating!

Both the first floor and second floor tend to have brighter lighting and people mulling about regularly. If you need something a little bit dimmer and quieter, try the “Basement Brewhaus,” which is located in the basement of the DUC. This is a fun spot where you can get fun drinks, sit on a comfy couch, and even take a few breaks from studying to play a game of pool with some friends!

The CBB:

The Chem-Bio building is a great spot to grab a snack and study away. With the Common Ground Café on the first floor, you can grab a drink and a snack and get to work. The first floor is filled with natural sunlight and seating by the windows. It is not hard to find a spot to sit and get to work on those assignments!

The CPS Café:

The CPS Café is a great spot to sit and get to work! There are plenty of tables to sit at and an overall quiet atmosphere. It is a super convenient and chill place to get through those long study sessions.

Whatever space you choose on campus, make it a space that feels comfortable for you! The best spaces are ones you can put on some headphones and take your time learning all the information you need to ace even the most difficult classes. Learn what spaces and tricks work best for you and have a great semester, Pointers!
