Hey Future Pointers! As the fall approaches, it’s important to take your placement tests to ensure you are taking the classes with the best fit for you. Each incoming student is required to complete placement tests prior to registering with your advisor for the fall semester. It is recommended to do so at least two weeks to make sure your results are ready for your appointment.

Every student must take a 90-minute math and a 90-minute English test. If you have completed a year or more of a world language, we recommend taking the appropriate world language exam. We also recommend taking placement tests even if you completed college credit courses or scored highly on AP exams in math, English or a world language. This helps guarantee the smoothest course registration process possible. Students may take a break between tests but not during. Retakes are permitted in math and English.

When you are ready to start the process, use your UWSP campus login to access the registration form. You should choose Math Test A online, and then you will receive an email from Meazure Learning containing the exam login information following registration. All exams are found online.

If you believe you may be exempt from taking the UW-System Placement Exams, contact Admissions at 715-346-2441.

In-person tests are located in the UWSP Testing Service is located in the Health and Wellness Center, connected to Marshfield Clinic Health System Champions Hall. For more information, visit: Testing Services – University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
