The Financial Aid and Veteran Services Office supports students and families through the full financial aid process, military benefits, and payment planning. Our goal is to help you focus on learning, not worrying about the bottom line.

Types of Aid Available:

  • Grants – Need-based aid like the Federal Pell Grant that doesn’t need to be repaid
  • Scholarships – Based on merit, need, or other criteria (separate from FAFSA®)
  • Federal & Private Loans – Subsidized and unsubsidized options available
  • Part-Time Employment – Includes Federal Work-Study, offered through CASE

How to Apply for Financial Aid:

  • Complete the FAFSA® at studentaid.gov
    • School code: 003924
    • Opens: October 1 for the next academic year
    • Submit by: May 1 (priority) or early December for new students
  • Watch for your aid offer – Sent weekly once awarding begins
  • Accept electronically through accesSPoint (students must complete their electronic consent task)

FAQs:

  • What if I don’t qualify for need-based aid?
Still apply! Some loans and scholarships don’t require financial need.
  • What if my situation has changed?
Submit a financial aid appeal through our website, our counselors will review and respond.
  • What’s the difference between subsidized and unsubsidized loans?
    • Subsidized: Need-based; government pays the interest while in school
    • Unsubsidized: Not need-based; interest accrues immediately
  • When will aid disburse?
Aid is applied about one week before classes start. Refunds are mailed or direct-deposited (Set this up in accesSPoint).
  • What if I still need more help?
Look into scholarships, payment plans (interest-free), or private loans. Use our FastChoice tool to compare loan options.

We know financial aid can feel overwhelming—but you’re not alone. Our team is here to help every step of the way!
