Get Involved on Campus

What makes for a great college experience?

It’s getting involved! Getting involved can look different to each individual, and the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point is equipped to help you find something that works for you. If you are looking to make new friends, or you already found them and are looking for something to do, check out SPIN.

Looking for something fun?

Throughout the semester, different organizations host events to give students a break from school and enjoy themselves in community. You are able to find anything from a movie night, bingo night, craft making and even Packer game watch parties. These events are always changing so make sure to be continuously checking SPIN to see any updates.

Get moving

Getting involved can also mean getting active. If you love watching sports, go support our fellow Pointers in their athletic events. But if you would rather be the one playing, there are recreational teams and intramural sports. It allows you to stay active and continue to do the sport that you love. You don’t have to be the best at the sport or even competitive, you just have to say yes.  Our facilities on campus are equipped for outdoor activities as well as indoor activities.

Find your people

With so many different majors, interests and hobbies represented on campus, there is a good chance that you can find a group to connect with. Students wanting to focus on getting as much career resources can join organizations like PRSSA, Aspiring Educators and way more, but clubs don’t always have to be directly related to your major. Sometimes getting out and doing what you love and enjoy is needed, such as fly fishing, Any Swing Goes, Latino Student Alliance, Mountain Bike club and more.

Getting involved does not mean doing everything that campus has to offer. It can be as simple as going to one event. You never know who or what you might discover unless you try!
