One great thing about UW-Stevens Point is its participation in the Universities of Wisconsin Direct Admissions Program. This is a fast, easy and free way for high school seniors to apply to college within the state of Wisconsin. Students from participating high schools can fill out the Direct Admit Wisconsin Form and indicate UWSP as their choice to begin their Pointer journey in the upcoming fall semester.
Starting August 1, eligible students from participating high schools will receive a Direct Admit Wisconsin offer in their student email. At this time, these students can fill out the form in the Universities of Wisconsin Admission Pathway Portal and select UWSP, then they will receive next steps via email and an admissions packet in the mail. Completing this form tells UW admissions that students are interested and would like to learn more about the university. Make sure you give the form time to fully submit before closing out of your browser!
At high schools that have already provided academic records, students will start to receive admission offers in September and October. But the overall deadline to complete this process for the class of 2027 is May 1, 2027.
As someone who has had family members and friends use this Direct Admit Program, it was a simple and free way for them to apply to college.
