Get ready, Pointers! Family Day 2026 is right around the corner, and campus is gearing up for a Homecoming celebration that’s all about the Decades! Rock your favorite decade from ’70s grooves to ’90s nostalgia and early 2000s vibes — as UWSP lights up with timeless trends and Homecoming energy.
Right away in the morning, families can check out events throughout the residence halls. Each quad of halls will be hosting an event from 9-10 a.m., each with a different event.
Later in the day, the College of Letters and Science will host a full lineup of Planetarium shows in the Allen F. Blocher Planetarium. Shows run throughout the day, beginning with From Earth to the Universe at 10 a.m., followed by Supermassive Black Holes at 11 a.m., Two Small Pieces of Glass at 1 p.m., Phantom of the Universe at 2 p.m., Mars: The Ultimate Voyage at 3 p.m., and Sunstruck at 4 p.m. These immersive programs offer families a chance to explore astronomy in one of UWSP’s most engaging instructional spaces.
Throughout the afternoon, families can check out the women’s soccer team vs. UW-Whitewater on the UWSP Turf Facility and the football team vs. UW-Stout at Goerke Park. Come and show your Pointer spirit!
Later that evening, Campus Activities & Student Engagement invites you to enjoy The GREAT Mark Toland — Mind Reader! from 7– 8 p.m. Toland’s award-winning performance brings mystery, excitement, and unforgettable entertainment to Family Day. As we celebrate the decades that shaped us, we welcome you to join the fun, embrace your favorite era, and enjoy a day filled with connection, tradition, and Pointer pride.
