Hello, Pointers! Are you looking for things to do in the Stevens Point Area this winter? Look no further! We have compiled a list of a few of our favorite activities for the snowy months.
One option is ice skating! There are a variety of indoor and outdoor ice rinks in the Stevens Point Area. If you prefer an indoor rink, check out there K.B. Willett. Visit here to find their open skate times. If you prefer outdoor skating, check out Goerke Park or Iverson Park for staffed rinks!
If you like skiing or snowboarding, Granite Peak is the place for you. There are day and season passes available for purchase on the website. For more information check out: https://www.skigranitepeak.com
In the wintertime, it’s always fun to see the Holiday Lights, and a great place to go is in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Marshfield is less than 40 minutes away from the main campus, so not too far away! Rotary Winter Wonderland is open 7 days a week starting the day after Thanksgiving, Nov 24, through New Year’s Eve, Dec 31. This is open from 5-9 p.m.
Lastly, make sure to head over to the Stevens Point Area Winter Farmers Market. The market occurs every Saturday starting in November through April from 8 a.m. until noon at the Boys and Girls Club Berard Center.
