As of January 8, the PointCard Office has relocated to 601 Division Street, next to the IT Service Desk. If you are unsure of the location, it is the campus building located next to Dunkin Donuts and across from Champions Hall.

The PointCard Office is the campus resource to get your UWSP PointCard, otherwise known as your Student ID. It is not only required but also essential to have a PointCard during your time at UWSP. It can give you access to things like:

  • Your residential hall, meal plan, and Dawg Dollar purchases
  • Text Rental, Library services, and inter-library loans,
  • Fitness/Recreation opportunities on all 3 campuses
  • Free city bus rides
  • Many other UWSP services and benefits.
  • Various off-campus businesses give discounts to students- just show your UWSP Student ID.

Here are the steps to take if you are a new student in need of a PointCard.

IMPORTANT: To receive your UWSP Student PointCard you MUST show a government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license.

Students attending an on-campus orientation session

To receive your UWSP PointCard at your scheduled orientation:

  • Make sure to upload a photo at least one business day before coming to campus via the GET App.
  • Check your UWSP email before arriving on campus for an email from the PointCard Office. This email will let you know if your photo was approved for use, or not approved and why.

If your photo is not approved please review the criteria for taking your photo.

  • Choose a solid, light color like a white wall as a background for your photo
  • The photo must be of just you—do not include friends, pets, etc.
  • Remove hats, sunglasses, headphones or other accessories. Head coverings are allowed only if worn daily for religious purposes.
  • Directly face the camera and take a centered headshot from the shoulders up
  • Make sure that your full face is visible in the photo
  • Crop and size your photo to size
  • Do not use any filters

Other Opportunities to Receive Your PointCard

If you do not upload a photo, or your photo was not approved and you did not submit a new photo, there will be opportunities at your orientation to have your photo taken and submitted to the PointCard Office. You can then stop by the PointCard Office after your session to receive your UWSP Student PointCard.

The PointCard Office can also take your photo and print your PointCard as you wait if you stop by the office after your orientation.

Transfer students and students unable to attend an on-campus orientation

Transfer students and students who are unable to attend an orientation on the Stevens Point campus should visit the PointCard office when you arrive on campus to obtain your PointCard. Be sure to bring a government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license.

Here are the steps to take if you need to replace a lost or stolen PointCard

If you lose your PointCard, or your PointCard is stolen, it is important that you report this as soon as possible so that your services can be deactivated.

If you are replacing a lost/stolen PointCard we already have your photo on file so you do not need to submit another. You can stop by the PointCard Office during normal business hours to get a replacement.

Please bring with you:

  • A photo ID such as your driver’s license to verify your identity.
  • Your previous PointCard will be deactivated when you receive a replacement PointCard.
