It’s that time of year again where housing applications need to get sent in. There are many things to consider when deciding your next living situation, but it is important to be on top of it so that you have a better chance of getting your preferred housing options!
When it comes to on-campus housing, there are a lot of deadlines and dates that you need to be conscious of. To keep it simple, here they are in order:
- The Suites@201 Application closes on January 28th
- Hyer Hall Application priority date is January 28th
- Tradition Residence Hall (for returning students only) priority date is March 10th
- Traditional Residence Hall (For new students) priority date is June 1st
A misconception is that you need to have your roommate picked out and have money for a deposit ready to go. Neither of these things are necessary in order to apply, you still have time to find a roommate and the application is free. It is important for you to apply as soon as possible, as you will have a higher chance of getting the building and room of your choice. Any student who graduated high school in 2023 or 2024 must live on campus unless they received approval to commute from their home.
Soon after beginning the application process, you will need to fill out the housing contract. This is an important step to keep the process moving forward, so make sure that you keep an eye out for it!
