UWSP Expands Student Mental Health Access Through “Whole Campus Care”

In addition to care offered by the campus Counseling Center, all UW-Stevens Point students now have access to services under the umbrella of “Whole Campus Care.”

With support from the Universities of Wisconsin and in partnership with Mantra Health, Whole Campus Care creates a student mental health and wellness pathway from the moment students walk on campus through graduation. Added services include:

  • Online self-guided wellness lessons
  • 24/7 on-demand emotional support
  • 24/7 online peer support community
  • Emotional wellness coaching with certified coaches
  • Virtual therapy that includes evening and weekend access

Whole Campus Care is a comprehensive solution to student wellness that supplements the current counseling center, aiming to reach “up-stream” to help students on and off campus.

A student may be feeling overwhelmed and stressed, but they may not need one-on-one therapy support or feel comfortable seeking out clinical services. Having a comprehensive, end-to-end solution makes it possible for students to find what they need and engage in services that feel right for them.

“At UW-Stevens Point, our students’ mental health is a top priority,” said Troy Seppelt, Assistant Vice Chancellor and Dean of Students. “As we continue to make it ok to talk about mental health concerns, every year more and more students are seeking support. The addition of Whole Campus Care will give our students resources critical to their health and wellbeing.”

Therapy services through the Counseling Center and Whole Campus Care programs are free to all enrolled UW-Stevens Point students. The Mantra Health app is available for Apple and Android, making Whole Campus Care services available 24/7. Students can get connected anytime, anywhere, including on breaks and during the summer. Visit the UW-Stevens Point Counseling Center to learn more about Whole Campus Care and the services provided.
