Hey Future Pointers! It is time to start thinking about placement tests. For first-year students, Math and English placement tests are required. Depending on your major, a foreign language exam may be required as well. These tests must be completed before registering for classes. Retakes in both Math and English are permitted.
General Instructions (for those not needing accommodations):
After verifying the correct tests needed, you need your UWSP campus login to access the registration form. You should choose Math Test A online, and then you will receive an email from Meazure Learning containing the exam login information following registration. English and World Language exams are also online.
Completing the exams two weeks prior to your advising appointment will ensure test scores are received on time. If you believe you may be exempt from taking the UW-System Placement Exams, contact Admissions at 715-346-2441.
You will be provided 90 minutes for Math and English, and 60 minutes for World Languages. Breaks between tests are allowed, but not during. You must submit the exam in order to receive scores. Scores will be shared with you during your academic advising appointment.
National testing programs are open to all UWSP students, students from other schools & persons in the local/regional community. Tests administered through Testing Services include PSI exams, CLEP exams, GRE, Praxis 1 Core, Praxis II, TOEFL, UW Regional Placement Tests, Pearson Vue, Pan Talogy, Iso Quality Testing (IQT), Meazure Learning, Distance Learning tests and DATCP (Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection).
