Goodbye UWSP

I am so beyond happy that I decided to pursue my undergraduate degree at UW-Stevens Point.

There is something really special about UWSP. I don’t know exactly what to call it, but there is an energy, a feeling, of kindness and belonging, and it is something that I felt as soon as I stepped foot on campus here

I have always known that I wanted to pursue a degree in the arts, and UWSP made that dream possible for me. When I was a senior in high school, I was terrified that I would not find a college or a plan that would allow me to follow the path that I wanted to be on. Sitting here now, just having graduated with my BFA in Acting and a minor in Arts Management, I can easily say that UWSP gave me exactly what I was looking for, and more.

Some of the most formative years, and the absolute best years, of my life thus far have happened while I’ve been a student at UWSP. I remember the day I met my roommate, and how we went from being two strangers to two best friends. I remember the first class I took, and I remember the day I met everyone within my cohort, and it feels surreal to me now to be graduating with those same friends that I met within my first week as a Pointer. I also think about the artistic work I produced as a freshman compared to the work that I am producing now, and all of it helps me to realize just how much I have grown as an individual, and as an artist.

I have made so many memories at UWSP. From the dorm life experience to the afternoons spent at DeBot. From the hockey games to the track competitions, to the football games and the homecoming festivities. From the mainstage rehearsals and performances to the classroom work and group homework assignments. From the days spent exploring the city of Stevens Point to embracing the night-life music adventures. From the best friend get togethers to the school banquets and CASE activities. From moving into my first apartment to packing my bag to study abroad in London. All of the experiences I have had while being a student at UWSP have made me who I am today, and they have shaped the lifelong friendships and networks that I’ll have for the rest of my life and into my career as an Actor. I wouldn’t trade these past four years for the world.

Once a Pointer, always a Pointer! I’ll miss ya UWSP😊
