University Police & Security Services

Safety Tools for Students:
- Safe Walk Program: Students can request a walking escort on campus at any hour
- UWSP Police App: Offers emergency contacts, safety tips, and more
- Emergency Phones: Located throughout campus for direct connection to campus police
- Pointer Alerts and SafePoint: In the event of an emergency on or near campus, the Pointer Alert emergency notification system is utilized to notify (email and text) the campus community in a timely manner. As a parent/guardian of a UWSP student, you may receive Pointer Alerts as a push notification to the SafePoint app, which is available for download on the Apple Store of Google Play.
Education and Prevention
Officers also lead programs throughout the year focused on topics like alcohol safety, consent, emergency preparedness, and personal security, empowering students with knowledge and confidence.
