Hey Pointers! As we move through the semester, it’s important to remind ourselves of an effective way to keep us informed, on track and on the path to success. One of the best things you can do to help yourself is to check your email on a regular basis! Think of three check rule, check once in the morning, once in the middle of the day, and once at night!
Here is some of the important info you will have coming through your UWSP email!
- Class Information:
Professors will often send last-minute or extra important information through your email! It’s important to check often because you never know if a class is cancelled or if homework plans have been changed!
- Campus Information:
UWSP sends updates almost daily. These updates are general information for the student body. It is important to check these because you never know when they will announce something that affects you. By checking these regularly, you will guarantee yourself to be informed and involved.
- Advisor Information:
A huge part of your campus journey is done through your advisor. This is the person who will help you follow your graduation plan. This advisor will reach out through email. By answering those emails and scheduling meetings with your advisor, you are setting yourself up for success.
- Staying Organized:
Outlook has the option of putting events straight from your email onto a calendar. This allows students to be able to organize all of their events into one place on their computer. This can help you stay organized in an easy and simple way!
Happy emailing Pointers!
