The thought of completing financial aid forms can be daunting. At UWSP, our Financial Aid & Veteran Services Office is a great resource to help Pointers and their families understand the financial aid, scholarship, and military benefit processes.
At UWSP, we encourage all students to apply for financial aid. Even if you do not believe you qualify for federal aid, this application can help determine your eligibility for different types of loans, the work study program, etc. The application for the 2026-2027 school year opens on October 1st. It is free to apply and only takes around 45 minutes.
If you have any questions, the knowledgeable staff at the Financial Aid & Veteran Services Office are happy to help. They can also provide students with information about various federal, state, and private funding options; such as grants, scholarships, work-study, and loans.
There are many appointment options available for students. Students can call the office at (715)346-4771 or email at finaid@uwsp.edu to set up an in-person meeting or zoom call. Walk-in assistance is also available at their office located at 1108 Fremont St. in the Student Services Building.
