Hip hip hooray, it’s almost Family Day 2025 here at UWSP! We have a variety of events
planned both on and off campus this year for our Family Day taking place on October 18th. If you
are looking for places to eat, Homegrown Cafe located in the DUC will be open from 8 a.m.
to 1 p.m., as well as Upper DeBot, our buffet style option, which will be open for brunch
from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
In the morning, starting at 10 am, there is the Homecoming 5K walk/run held at
Schmeeckle Reserve. There is also a Planetarium show held in the Science Building between
10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Later, there is family stargazing, which takes place at 7:30 p.m.-11 p.m. on the north
end of Coleman Field.
In addition, there is the Homecoming Hotspot, which is tailgating before the football game
vs UW-River Falls. Homecoming Hotspot starts at 10:30 a.m. and the game itself starts at 1 p.m., all
located at Goerke Park. Don’t forget to check out the other sporting events happening, including
men’s and women’s tennis vs St. Norbert held on the tennis courts starting at 11 a.m. and
women’s soccer vs UW-River Falls starting at 1 p.m.
