Here at UWSP, we support our students beyond their academic needs. We
provide resources for our students on a personal level and help them through their first step into adulthood. Hence, the creation of The Closet and The Backpack!
The Closet is located in Nelson Hall in Room 234 and offers gently used clothes for
students to take if needed. Students can also drop off clothing items they no longer wear
to the closet in the drop box. The Closet accepts both children and adult sized clothing.
The Backpack is located in Room 220 of Nelson Hall and offers school and home
supplies as well as hygiene products, free for students to use to their advantage. If
students have extra supplies, they are always taking donations right outside the room.
Thanks to The Closet and The Backpack, more students have access to the necessities for their
success here at UW-Stevens Point! These programs create a sustainable atmosphere for our
students to call their home. Donations at these locations are always appreciated and help many!
