As Fall 2025 starts to come to a close, many students are wondering how they can prepare for the transition into Winter Break. While all of this information (and more) has already been emailed to all of you, we know it’s a busy time of the semester and wanted to share some basic information in case the email got lost in your inbox.
- Finals Week Quiet Hours
We encourage you to respect final week’s quiet hours, which helps create an environment conducive to studying and success.
- Start: Friday, December 12th, at 11:59 p.m.
- End: Friday, December 19th, at 6 p.m.
Students may engage in moderate activities like vacuuming or moving furniture during Daily Relaxed Quiet Hours (11am-1pm and 4pm-7pm), but overall noise should remain minimal.
- Winter Break Housing and Desk Operations
- The front desk of most residential halls will close at 6 p.m. on Friday, December 19th, and will reopen at 10 a.m. Sunday, January 18th.
- Only the front desk at Suites@201 will be open during the break, with desk operations daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
For students staying during the break, registration is required via the UWSP Housing Portal under “Winter Break Housing Registration.” There is no additional cost for students with Spring 2026 housing assignments.
