Spring Registration

 No Comments on Spring Registration

It’s that time of year, Pointers. Class registration is almost here!

Within the next few weeks, Graduate and Undergraduate registration opens on April 15th. Open enrollment for non-degree seeking students opens on May 2nd.

Your own registration appointment time is based on the number of credits you have earned towards graduation. Typically, the more credits you have earned, the earlier your registration appointment will be. If you are unsure of your credit standing, here is a classification list below.

Classification Credits Earned
Freshman 0-29
Sophomore 30-59
Junior 60-89
Senior 90+

Checking how many credits you’ve earned is just one step you should take prior to registering for next semester’s classes. Here are some important steps to register for classes.

  1. Schedule an appointment with your advisor

Before enrolling, all students are required to meet with their academic advisor to discuss a student’s class and scheduling options. You can find your advisor’s name in AccesSPoint by clicking on your profile tile and then Advisors. If you have an advisor from the ACAC, you can schedule an appointment via Navigate. If you have been assigned a major-specific advisor, contact them directly to see when they are available for advising.

Note: Advising appointments should be scheduled well in advance before your registration date. Advisor authorization is required for registration.

  1. Check your Degree Progress Report (DPR)

Reviewing your DPR can help you understand what classes you still need to complete for your major. It also helps you plan out what your next few semesters will look like. If you are unsure of how to read your DPR, your advisor can help you understand it. To find your DPR, log into AccesSPoint and click on the DPR tile.

  1. Look at the UWSP Course Catalog

If you want to find out more about specific classes, check out the course catalog. This resource has the most up-to-date information about the current course offerings.

Once you’ve completed these steps, you’re ready to register for next semester!
