Dreyfus University Center (DUC) has a lot to offer to students at UW-Stevens Point. Within its walls, a treasure trove of amenities awaits, catering to the diverse needs and passions of our college community. The DUC offers a vibrant food court, engaging entertainment centers quiet study areas, and the convenience of an on-site bank.
With so much to do all under one roof, the Dreyfus University Center shows the lively essence of college life. It’s not just a building; it’s a bustling nexus of activity where every corner offers something new to explore and experience.
The DUC has four floors that consist of:
Lower Level:
- Basement Brewhaus: Whether students are hitting the books, grabbing a coffee, shooting some pool, hanging out with friends, or just looking to unwind before class, this coffee shop has them covered.
- The Cupboard: The only requirement to access this pantry is being a current UWSP student. Upon arrival, simply swipe a PointCard and no other questions asked. Students are welcome to bring their own bag or utilize one of the reusable bags provided. Then, freely select the food items. needed and weigh the items!
- Campus Activities and Student Engagement: The best spot to learn about all of the campus activities and student involvement opportunities happening on campus.

First Floor:
- Theater: Free movie showings weekly in this space!
- The Encore: A place for students to catch concerts, club shows, variety acts and more!
- Study Tables
- U.S. Bank: Some services they offer include an on-site ATM, foreign currency services, wire transfers, debit card replacement, notary services, money orders and cashier’s checks, account applications and maintenance and financial coaching.
- University Store & Text Rental: UWSP students rent and return their classroom textbooks cost free. The University Store stocks Pointer apparel , gifts, school supplies, supplemental course books, electronics, art supplies, convenience items, snacks, gift cards and books for fun.
- Homegrown Cafe: This cafe provides an array of handcrafted drinks and baked goods from the on-campus bakery, Indulge Bakery. They also have quick grab-and-go options in their cold case and fridges for students on the go.
- University Information and Tickets: Purchase tickets for the arts, hockey games and get campus information at this spot!
Second Floor:
- DUC Food Court: This food court offers a wide selection of food options for visitors including grilled classics such as burgers, fries, and cheese curds, homemade mac and cheese with delectable toppings, chicken wings, Asian cuisine, sushi, boba tea, fresh subs, personal pizzas, customizable salads and a parfait bar. A variety of allergen-friendly options are available at stations in the DUC Food Court as well.

- Haircraft: This salon provides cuts, coloring and facial waxing services at a reasonable price. They offer one appointment at a time and contactless payments for convenience.

- Multicultural Resource Center: The Multicultural Resource Center (MRC) at UWSP is designed to meet the specific needs of students from traditionally underrepresented groups. The MRC provides students with academic and social opportunities, seeking to encourage the success of UWSP’s asian american, african american, and latinx students.
- Queer Resource Center: The Queer Resource Center (QRC) strives for the comprehensive support, education, and empowerment of LGBTQ+ identifying students, staff, and faculty at UWSP. Their outreach and scope provides resources to the central Wisconsin community connected to our branch campuses. All are welcome to use the Center’s free printing, lounge area, movies, personal care and more!
- Native American Resource Center: The Native American Center (NAC) supports and develops cultural programs on campus while building community for our Native students. Their initiatives encourage the revitalization of Indigenous cultures and languages while providing a tether to Indigenous students who are away from their home and families. They strive to advance public education concerning American Indians on the UWSP campus and in surrounding communities.
- Office of International Education: The Office of International Education (OIE) helps students with thier interests in Study Abroad, the National Student Exchange, and they help international students. Their mission is to help lead the University’s development of global awareness, promote international and intercultural understanding and enrich the academic and cultural environment of UWSP by facilitating the exchange of people and ideas.
