Our Financial Aid & Veteran Services Office at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is a resource made available to help you and your families in understand the financial aid, scholarship, and military benefit processes. We are here to support you in making an affordable choice while getting a high-quality education. Financial aid can be complicated. Whether you are an incoming freshman, transfer, or graduate student, we recommend you familiarize yourself with our specific process here at UW-Stevens Point.
Every school’s process is a little different. We encourage all students to apply for Financial Aid to determine what assistance they may receive. You won’t lose anything to apply, and it only takes around 45 minutes. Our experienced staff is here to help you navigate the aid process and answer all of your questions. We can also provide information on the various federal, state and private funding options; such as grants, scholarships, work-study and loans.
The Office of Financial Aid and Veteran Services is open and in-person appointments are available. We are open to provide walk-in assistance while also answering the phones and responding to emails. However, we are able to accommodate students virtually via 1:1 Zoom assistance. Call to set up an appointment today! Our office on campus is located at 1108 Fremont St. in the Student Services Building. Students can contact us by phone with any questions they may have at 715-346-4771, or by email at finaid@uwsp.edu. You can always navigate our website at www.uwsp.edu/finaid.
Per the Department of Education, the FAFSA will be launched in a two-step process. On October 1, the form will be available to a limited test group of students and colleges. UWSP is not a test school and we recommend waiting to complete FAFSA until December 1. Stay tuned to studentaid.gov for information on outages and processing times.
