UW-Stevens Point is committed to sustainability. We show our commitment through recycling, composting food waste, energy reduction and more.

UWSP also focuses on sustainability by providing access to two important student resources: The Closet and The Backpack.

The Closet

The Closet is UWSP students’ resource for free, used clothing! Students can stop in and take any of the clothing that is there. This resource reduces clothing waste by allowing students and community members to donate items that they are no longer wearing!

There are many clothing options, from everyday wear to winter gear. There are a variety of sizes and clothing types to fit the needs of UWSP students.

College is also a time when many students are on a tight budget. Not only is The Closet sustainable, but it also provides a place for students to get clothing without spending money.

The Closet is located at Nelson Hall 234. Donations can be dropped off outside of the room!

The Backpack

The Backpack is like The Closet, but it is instead where students can get free school supplies, home supplies, and hygiene products! This saves students on the cost of buying new supplies and allows unused products to be donated.

The Backpack is in Nelson Hall 220! Donations can be dropped off outside of the room.

The Closet and The Backpack are here to help you succeed! Stop by Nelson Hall to check them out.

As always, it’s a great day to be a Pointer!
