Centertainment is part of Campus Activity and Student Engagement. They fulfill one of CASE’s five E’s, Entertainment. Centertainment is filled with student programmers who go above and beyond to provide UWSP students with fantastic entertainment year round.

If you haven’t been to a Centertainment event before, you’re in for a treat! Events will be held in the Dreyfus University Center (DUC). Check out the events scheduled for the fall semester:

September

  1. Naia Izumi (Concert): 2018 NPR Tiny Desk Winner will be kicking off the week with a captivating performance – September 5 at 8 p.m. in the Laird Room, DUC
  2. BINGO, BINGO, BINGO: Those who play have a chance to win awesome prizes! – September 6 at 8 p.m. in the Laird Room, DUC
  3. Hypnotist Brian Imbus: Witness Imbus do some strange cool things at this event – September 7 at 8 p.m. in the Laird Room, DUC
  4. All Female Comedy Show: Comedian Chloe Hilliard with guests Tess Bents and Erin Degner – September 8 at 8 p.m. in the Laird Room, DUC
  5. What in Outer Space (Trivia): From UFOs to NASA, are you a pro at answering these trivia questions on Centertainment’s first trivia night of the semester? – September 11 at 7:30 p.m. in the Basement Brewhaus, DUC
  6. Avengers Infinity War (Movie): If you somehow happened to miss this movie in the theaters, no worries! Heroes assemble for this movie night – September 13 and 15 in The Theater, DUC at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m.
  7. Tie Dye and Pizza: Get groovy and tie dye a shirt with free food at this event. Supplies and pizza are limited, so grab your friends and go early – September 14 at 8 p.m. in the Alumni Room, DUC
  8. LeClerc Andre (Comedian): Get silly with Andre and special guests Bubba and Tajeeh Conaway – September 19 at 8 p.m. in The Encore, DUC
  9. Hip-Hop Knights with Denny Lanez: Hailing from Milwaukee, Lanez has been taking the hip-hop industry by storm. Don’t miss out on this new rising artist with special guests – September 20 at 8:30 p.m. in The Encore, DUC
  10. D and Chi (Indie Pop): This duo brings a lively acoustic performance to UWSP for the night – September 22 at 8 p.m. in the Basement Brewhaus, DUC
  11. Green Bay Packers (Trivia): This one is for all of you super fans out there. Can you answer all of these Packer questions to prove you’re a real fan? – September 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the Basement Brewhaus, DUC
  12. Incredibles 2 (Movie): It’ll be a fun night daaaling! Supers, dust off your masks, this one’s for our generation! – September 26 and 28 in The Theater, DUC at 7 and 9:30 p.m.
  13. Cozy Crafts: Get creative with sharpie mugs, leaf wreaths or garlands, and pumpkin painting. Materials available for first-come, first-served basis – September 27 at 8 p.m. in The Encore, DUC
  14. Six Appeal (A Cappella): Get your vocals ready and jam out to this fun group all night! – September 29 at 7:30 p.m. in the Laird Room, DUC

 

October

  1. Stand Up Guy John Egan: Enjoy a night of laughter with Egan and special guest Zhengzhan “Daniel” Shang – October 3 at 9 p.m. in The Encore, DUC
  2. Bad Bad Hats (Indie Music): Love indie music? This is the event to go to! With special guest Jessica Manning – October 5 at 8 p.m. in The Encore, DUC
  3. Comedy Hypnotist Erick Kand: Laughter, tricks and mind games. How else would you want to spend your night? – October 6 at 10 p.m. in The Encore, DUC
  4. Who REALLY Runs the Government? (Trivia): Enjoy this trivia night with your friends! – October 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Basement Brewhaus, DUC

  6. Donut Panic About Exams: Take a break from studying for midterms and enjoy a donut! – October 12 at 8 p.m. in The Encore, DUC
  7. Comedian Elliot Morgan: Enjoy a night of laughter at this event with Morgan and special guest Asaf Arvizu – October 17 at 9:30 p.m. in The Encore, DUC
  8. Battle of the Bands: Check out student bands or join yourself for this yearly event! – October 19 at 8 p.m. in The Encore, DUC
  9. 90s Trivia Night: Come on 90s babies and bring on the nostalgia for this cool trivia theme – October 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Basement Brewhaus, DUC

  11. Food Frenzy (Crafts and Food): This event will consist of decorating and eating food while playing board games – November 29 at 10 p.m. in The Encore, DUC
  12. Manitowoc Minute (Comedy): Get a great laugh out of this fun night with popular Wisconsin comic Charlie Berens – November 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the Laird Room, DUC

 

December

  1. Breakfast with Santa: Get festive because it will be the most wonderful time of the year! – December 1 at 9 a.m. in the Laird Room, DUC

  4. Video Game Trivia: Alright gamers, this one’s for you! Get the team together and knock this competition out of the park – December 11 at 7:30 p.m. in the Basement Brewhaus, DUC
  5. Comedian Jon Rineman: End the semester with some good laughs before finals – December 12 at 9 p.m. in The Encore, DUC
  6. An Evening on the Countryside: Aileeah Colgan will be ending the semester of events with some country music – December 13 at 7 p.m. in The Encore, DUC
