Hi! My name is Kate. I am a transfer student, majoring in communicative disorders.

I grew up in Plymouth, Wis., with my parents, and I’m the youngest of three kids. I am 21-years-old and I have two years of college under my belt. I majored in mathematics – secondary education for two years, and after working as an after-school tutor for the past year, I decided education wasn’t where my interests lay.

Like my brother and sister before me, we have changed our majors and also our colleges. It only seemed right starting with a new major here at UWSP.

I volunteered to blog about my life at UWSP because I thought the perspective of a transfer student could help those who, like me, are starting out fresh in a new place.

I don’t know how many people will read this blog, but to those of you who are, welcome, and I hope you can get a few laughs from my experiences!!
