Future teachers from the UW-Stevens Point School of Education gained valuable advice about contemporary issues for new teachers from community members on Tuesday, Nov. 13.

Breakout sessions included:

  • Legal Issues New Teachers Need to Know – Shana Lewis, attorney
  • Inside Tips to Getting a Job – Pam Bork, assistant professor, School of Education
  • The Connected Classroom: How Teachers Can Leverage Technology to Improve Learner Engagement, Differentiate and ‘Flip’ Their Classrooms – Mr. Dave Grabski & Mr. Jeff Mlsna, PJ Jacobs Jr. High teachers

The event was sponsored by the School of Education student organizations.
