UW-Stevens Point had six representatives attend the 104th annual American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) National Conference in Houston, Texas June 26-29. The conference featured more than 700 family and consumer sciences and allied professionals who shared their strategies and research that help individuals and families thrive in times of change and transition.
Three current UWSP students (Julie Martin, Laura Neumann and Dayleen Yoerger) and three 2013 graduates who have jobs as FCS educators (Rebekah Catalano, Angel Froelich and Annika Olson) attended sessions where they gained knowledge of growing and changing family and consumer sciences programs.
