The UW-Stevens Point School of Business and Economics handed out 42 student scholarships as well as multiple awards to students and faculty at its 2018 Awards Reception sponsored by Associated Bank Friday, April 20 in the Dreyfus University Center Laird Room. [Photo Gallery]

The School of Business and Economics is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), ranking our program among the top 20 percent in the nation and top 5 percent in the world.

Rachel Badertscher from Marshfield, Wis., is double majoring in accounting and business administration.

  • W.B. Greaton Scholarship

Alissa Barth from Marshfield, Wis., graduated with a degree in accounting and business administration this past fall semester. She is a member of the Heart of Wisconsin IMA.

  • IMA Student Leadership Award

Allison Batterman from Fond du Lac, Wis., is double majoring in accounting and business administration, and minoring in economics and psychology. Allison is a volunteer at The Cupboard, a member of the UWSP Financial Literacy Association, and a member of the UWSP Colleges Against Cancer group.

Katrina Butts from Pleasant Prairie, Wis., is majoring in business administration with a concentration in management. Katrina is the president of the UWSP Financial Literacy Association, the business director for SPTV, and a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. She volunteers for Sundays with Seniors and as a financial coach for UWSP and Portage County.

Makaela DeBoer from Arpin, Wis., is double majoring in accounting and business administration with a concentration in finance, insurance, and real estate. Makaela is a volunteer for the Auburndale Music Festival, Multiple Sclerosis Walk/Run in Marshfield, and Special Olympics. She is a member of the UWSP Accounting Club, National Society of Leadership and Success, and Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society.

Kim Delikowski from Stevens Point, Wis., is majoring in business administration with a management concentration. Kim is a volunteer for the Portage County Humane Society and an annual bike ride participant in the Special Olympics Torch Run.

April Eisenschink from Manitowoc, Wis., is majoring in business administration with a concentration in finance, insurance, and real estate. She is studying French for a basic second language proficiency certificate. April is a peer advisor for the School of Business and Economics and the student manager for the UWSP Phone Center. She is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, UWSP Financial Literacy Association, UWSP Sign Language Club, and volunteers for the UWSP Dance Marathon.

  • Northwestern Mutual Bob “Rap” Taylor Scholarship

Alexa Englund from White Bear Lake, Minn., is majoring in business administration with concentrations in management and marketing, and a minor in military science. Alexa is a member of the Pointers women’s hockey team. She also is part of the Wisconsin Army National Guard and participated in the UWSP Reserve Officer Training Course (ROTC).

She is a member of the Pointers tennis team and also volunteers at Brookdale Assisted Living, Ronald McDonald House, Community Cleanup, and youth sports.

Rebecca is the treasurer for Order of the Omega, and a member of the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society. She volunteers for CAP Services Head Start, Make a Difference Day, Be the Change, and blood drives.

Hope Persells from Weyauwega, Wis., is majoring in business administration with a concentration in management. Hope is a member of the Waupaca Recreational Ladies Fall Volleyball League and volunteers at Waupaca’s 1st Assembly of God in the nursery, preschool, and Sunday school. She also runs 5K, 10K and half marathons.

She volunteers with CAP Service’s VITA program as a tax preparer.
