Emeritus Clinical Professor Charlie Osborne, MA, CCC-SLP, was presented the Frank R. Kleffner Career Award from the Wisconsin Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Association for outstanding contributions to clinical practice at the WSHA Fall Update in Elkhart Lake on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021.

This award is memorial recognition of Frank R. Kleffner who worked tirelessly over his lifetime to professionalize and expand the charitable goals of the ASHA Foundation. It is to recognize outstanding contributions to clinical practice over a period of 20 years or more, with significant impact on recipients of service. The award winner exemplifies the ideals of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and its advocacy for effective human communication.

The mission of the Wisconsin Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Association (WSHA) is to provide leadership and support for speech-language pathologists, audiologists and speech, language and hearing scientists in Wisconsin through advocacy, education and public awareness.
