Alexis Wright co-founded Fishing Inspires Special Hearts (F.I.S.H.) to enrich the lives of children with special needs by providing the opportunity to spend time outdoors and get hooked on fishing. During a one-day event each summer, special anglers are paired with experienced fishermen to try to catch the big one! With a double major in special education and elementary education along with a minor in business administration, Alexis found the perfect way to combine her love of fishing with her passion of working with special needs children.
For her efforts, Alexis was presented the 2024 College of Professional Studies Dick Cable and Judy Cable Anderson Student Heroes Award. Watch her story!
