Halloween shenanigans

Rilee20151018b Hey Pointers!

rilee20151031aI hope you all had an amazing Halloween!

Every year UW-Stevens Point ROTC holds an event called Costume PT (Physical Training). During this time we all dress up in costumes and play some sport; this year it was ultimate football. It is usually a really fun time where we can all just take some time in the day to relax and let some stress out.

My freshman and sophomore year I dressed up as a nurse. This year, my boyfriend (Ryan) and I decided to do something a little different. We were Peter Pan and Tinkerbell; except we may not have looked exactly as you would expect. I was Peter Pan and he was Tinkerbell. He was wearing a wig, lipstick and mascara and even had glitter on his chest. I was told that he looked even prettier than I did; I don’t know if I should be proud (since I did his hair and makeup) or offended … I’ll just be proud.

Along with our costumes, there were sumo wrestlers, cats, superheroes, rock stars, T.V. characters and sports stars. We really like to use this time to take a load off and have a little fun in an environment that doesn’t allow for silly environments very often.

rilee20151031crilee20151031dAfter Costume PT, the rest of my Halloween was not typical of that of a “normal” college student. My boyfriend and I, along with his mom and sister, went to the Wisconsin Badgers game. Although it was cold and rainy, it was still a blast. This was my first Badgers game and we had amazing seats! Nine rows from the field, right on the end zone.

After the game, we drove down to Wisconsin Dells and went shopping at the outlet mall. After we were all shopped out, we went to a trampoline park! It was as amazing as it sounds. You could jump on trampolines into a foam pit, to dunk basketballs, to play dodge ball or just to jump around (there was a lot of “Jumping Around” yesterday). I’m 20-years-old, but that doesn’t mean I have to act like it!

I hope your Halloween was as amazing and fun as mine was, and I hope you were all safe!

Until next time! Pointers Lead the Way!
